Me graduating college in 1990 Hello, I'm Photon of Scoopex. I've been a member of Scoopex Sweden since 1991 coming from Phenomena, but took a break from the demoscene between 1992 and 2005. So far, I've only made Amiga demos in assembler, since I believe the limits of the A500 1MB platform is the perfect challenge for any coder.  To find out what else I'm about, see my About Me blog post.

My latest demos are Blitter Sweet and Xmas Demo, both made in the xmas break 2006 and 2005. I'm webdeving now and have a fulltime job, but hope to find time to assemble my old Stunner sources and make a nice trackmo.

Right now, the focus is on organizing Scoopex and coding new releases.

I'm born in 1971, weigh 80kg, and sometimes go teary-eyed dreaming of demos. I try to make as much time for some good introvert lock-me-in-a-closet coding Amiga as I can, but usually spend way too much time online. "I'm workin' on it." :P I hate forced activities and love doing stuff together (tm) as well as talking crap with friends.

About Me by Photon on 2009-11-26.

I wrote this to say "what I'm about" and note down some thoughts I have about coding and demos.

Since being a scener often leads to meeting new people and communication on the Web often leaves out a lot, I wrote this so there'll be no doubt as to what I like and what I mean.

RigInfo by Photon on 2009-10-21.

As for most of my utilities, this one is also intended for use in the startup-sequence and thus is a CLI command. RigInfo outputs all relevant hardware information on the Amiga that runs it (except CPU MHz...)

If you plan to use the output of this app as input to your own app, strip the first two lines of text and parse the third line. If you wish no output (black screen until WB is loaded), redirect it to NIL: as usual.

Some photos by Photon on 2009-09-04.

A photo of me not feeling so good on the bus back from BP09, and some Amiga mod photos :)

A photo of me not feeling so good on the bus back from BP09, a photo of how I repaired my Amiga 600 keyboard cable, and a photo of CUTTING A HOLE in my A1200, used mainly for WHDload but also for checking my demos and also AGA demos.

NoChipMem by Photon on 2009-07-27.

Again a small utility, this time for chipmem-only Amiga coders who would like to force load apps in high chipmem to free low chipmem upto 512k, to revive old sources.

I.e. an app for myself again, haha. Darn :) Well, maybe it'll help some people with plain vanilla A1200s.

A600 Portable Pics by Photon on 2009-07-22.

Rolled up my sleeves and finished this portable Amiga project roughly in time for the anniversary of its inception...

Maybe I'll have the time and energy to write a how I did it thing, but since I decided to make a minimum of holes in the chassi and keep it ultra simple, I think you'll have no trouble finding that out yourself.

ChipMap by Photon on 2009-07-21.

ChipMap is a CLI utility to report chipmem chunks not used by Amiga OS.

It's definitely a replacement for my buggy ChipMon utility coded in WinUAE in 2005 using (believe it or not!!) AbsAlloc :)

MouseCondby Photon on 2009-06-24.

Made a tiny utility for my own use in my startup-sequence, maybe something exactly like it is on Aminet already, but it was quicker than searching for it there :P

The CLI command returns a result from the combination of mouse buttons pressed when the command is executed. That allows you to conditionally execute some lines in the startup-sequence, like loading Workbench only if button is pressed, and so on.
